cleo is not a person, but a web tool you can use to create videos and animations for your website, social-media channels, or screens at a point of sale – quickly, in your brand look, and with no prior knowledge being required.
cleo allows you to create videos and animations for your website, social-media channels, or point-of-sale screens – quickly, without requiring any previous knowledge, and in the look of your brand. Together with you, we will create a tailored video template containing variable elements. The template then becomes part of your cleo account, where you can redefine the variable elements with each use – so you can create videos in the look of your brand in no time at all!
cleo is a combination of the two words “cloud” and “video.”
cleo is a product of Agentur Koch. We were inspired to create cleo through the great and ever-growing demand for video content. We wanted to provide our clients with a quick and easy video-creation tool that would still meet high design standards.
cleo is a great solution if you have recurring information that needs to have a consistent and uniform appearance (e.g. the look of your brand). For example, you want to advertise several product campaigns on your social-media channels, on your website, or on screens in a store? Then cleo is exactly what you need.

cleo is a very flexible and versatile tool! It is suitable for nearly all advertising and communication formats – whether screens at a point of sale, a welcome message in your company’s reception area, or a promotional message on public transport. You can of course use cleo to create content for a variety of social-media channels as well as vibrant content for your website. Even infographics or eye-catching job postings are easy with cleo. And if you need to make it really big – like our client ZSC Lions – it even works on the jumbotrons of Zurich’s Hallenstadion stadium.
Or, to put it another way: basically, the only thing you really need to work with cleo is a screen. ;)
Your templates will allow images, texts, icons, logos, colors, and the like to be flexibly adjusted and swapped in and out. We define the required flexibility of your templates together with you in a manner tailored to what you are trying to achieve.
No, because we want to make your life as easy as possible. When designing your video template, we also ensure that it is as easy as possible to work with.
For cleo, it is important that your messages are reflected in the look of the rest of your communication media. It’s how brand recognition is fostered. In close cooperation between you and our designers, we create video templates tailored to you and your brand. Everything you get from us is unique and not used by others. So, rather than focusing on quantity, we strive to create quality and individuality.
We can also offer you interfaces to live data or PIM systems, if required.
Yes. cleo is a web-based tool, allowing you to access it at all times and from everywhere. cleo runs in all current browsers, requires no permanent installation on your computer, and also works on tablets and smartphones.
With cleo, you only pay for the services you actually use. We charge a fee to set up your account and finance its ongoing operation. All other costs depend on your type and number of templates.
For interface connections (e.g. to live data or PIM systems), we would be happy to provide you with a quote tailored to your needs.
No. The pricing does not depend on the number of videos you render, so you can create as many videos as you want.
How long it takes depends on the length and complexity of your video. You can generally assume that your video will be created in twice the number of seconds of your template. If your video is 10 seconds long, the rendering time – once your content is defined – is about 20 seconds.
Yes. If you have information or images that you regularly need in a template, you can manage them yourself in your user account. For example, you can create several logos and use them in different templates without having to upload them again and again.
No. Your videos are currently available for download for 15 minutes after they are created. After that, the data is deleted from our server. However, we are currently planning a video archive.
Yes. An example of this is our client ZSC Lions Eishockey AG, which works with such an interface for its home games at Zurich’s Hallenstadion stadium. Feel free to approach us with your ideas so we can discuss them together with you in a free initial consultation.
Yes. We can offer connections to product information management (PIM) systems, if required. Don’t hesitate to approach us with your ideas so we can discuss them in a free initial consultation and draft a quote on this basis.
Video and moving images are pretty much the same thing. They are subcategories for different formats. For example, a video can consist of real-image acquisition and/or animations. Both are moving images.
Animations are graphic elements – letters, text, and graphic elements that are simple or of greater complexity. These are then set in motion by a designer. A classic example of a (complex) animation is a cartoon. Depending on the type and size of the animation, a lot of work is involved.
In cleo, we can capture animations as something like a recipe for your content. For example, we can define how a certain text block (e.g. a product price) should behave in your video. This recipe will then always be applied, no matter what text you define.
In this way you can quickly and easily work with videos that contain animations without having to animate them yourself.
Motion design combines traditional graphics and typography with motion and digitization. It is therefore the design of moving content, such as videos. Motion design is actually behind all moving digital content that is not based on real-image acquisition, such as the moving logo intro of the evening news or an animated explanatory video on Instagram.
Moving content has the advantage that it is better at capturing our attention than purely static elements, as our eye is trained to look where there is motion.
With cleo, we automate motion design.
